Crossing

I like his feet.
Mostly the front feet, gives him a Griffin feel. Really I just like drawing claws, both him and Mint have them, but only Basil has paws. Mint's got thoes...single, claw...things~ I like thoes too.
I worked on the color for hours....first he was too dark, to light, too much black, to much yellow, not enough red, etc~
But then I got just the right colors~ I like him this way.
Just the right mix of red to orange to yellow, so it say's "I'm a fire Alphyn, but I don't necessarily have a firey personality." The blue and gold really helps contrast and cool the red down.
He's got very natural tones, well~ bright natural.


I think I'm really gonna love Peppermint & Basil.

I actually don't really like this picture, pft. It's just, I could have done so much better, but I was to lazy to change it because I know where it went wrong, and that was at the begining. It was Basil's color, not getting the color right and going over it was an oopsie.
I worked so long on it though... oh well. I'll make something else with him later.
